Debt Collection Violations
Good "G" Notice
Along the left margin, we have attached notes that explain some common misunderstandings. These are not complete. The FDCPA and the RFDCPA are very technical in nature and violations may occur of which laymen are unaware.
If you have questions about the FDCPA or any statute, you should contact a lawyer.
The FDCPA requires that within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector provide the consumer with certain disclosures.
In the letter on the right, the debt collector has provided proper notice, which is highlighted in red.
